2025 Highlights
Time flew by so quickly in 2025! I haven't been in my element for so long until now, and I think all the traveling, meeting people, and reconnecting with my loved ones absolutely helped.
I would usually write about the best things that happened to me last year, but I'm changing it up a bit and reflecting on some other things. I think it's about time I celebrate the people around me, my community.
Recently, I've noticed how I'm slowly showing teenage narcissism again. I often think of myself as a victim, always believing people are after me. I constantly think about my own happiness and the things I wrote about in my teenage journal. What slapped me back to reality was opening my eyes and looking at the other people I'm surrounded by. Not everything is about me. Nothing good will come out if I keep thinking I've always got the shorter end of the stick.
I'm leaving that thinking behind in 2025, and to start, today, I will be celebrating my loved ones' highs!

I'm pretty sure there are highlights from last year that I haven't heard, but whatever those are, I'm happy it has brought joy in their lives. I'm beyond grateful that everyone that I love is healthy and alive!
In 2026, I wish for calm and stability. I'll also work on being more accepting of whatever comes my way.
As my favourite New Year song says, "Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there with open arms and open eyes." It's "Drive" by Incubus. I'll remain still and let things flow like clouds in the sky.
Happy New Year, everyone!
