What happened in February
February being the shortest month always goes by quickly like December would. This month, I had been busy with work and classes, yet I felt a significant dip in my hobbies and exercise.
Here is what I've been through this month:
- Babi turned another year older
- We celebrated our second Valentine's together
- I started a Spanish practice blog
- I watched 10 films
- I exercised for 18 days
- I started my new haircare routine!
My boyfriend turned another year older
He was feeling under the weather for a few weeks, so when his birthday came, we weren't able to do something extravagant. He's always a simple person and despite me asking multiple times if he wants to go out or something, he was insistent on staying at home. So we did!
The day before, we went out to buy gifts for him. Gifts in the forms of a whisk (he was si happy when he get to use it the first time when making omelette) and a frying strainer which he realised he needs when we've been frying chicken more regularly than usual.
The day after, we ate pizza, his favourite food, with his family while they're watching their favourite childhood film, Power Rangers.
We celebrated our second Valentine's Day
We are not fans of crowded streets and places so we celebrated Valentine's day with a homemade dinner courtesy of the boyfriend. We also watched American History X! Amazing film!

I started a Spanish practice blog
During our Spanish classes, I got a bit disappointed of how quickly I forget words that I learn in class. I realised it's because I don't get to use them as often as I would like. Hence, I created unspanisheverydia.wordpress.com. I know it's corny, but I thought it was witty while I was typing it.
I write down my assignments there and some answers to daily prompts. The goals is to write at least three sentences a day and if you visit my blog you'd see I haven't met that but that is the goal!
I watched 10 films
Not a far number from last month's list. We are becoming more consistent with films. I am happy that my interest in movies came back after years of being indifferent.
Below is the list of the films I've watched. My favourite from the list is American History X!
The numbers are the dates when we watched them.
1 - Joy Ride; Crazy Sexy Cool; Made in Argentina; The Postcard Killings
14 - American History X
15 - The Fight Club
22 - The Amazing Burt
23 - Abigail; The Florida Project 26 - One of them days
I exercised for 18 days
I don't know if it's the heat or the perpetual hormonal imbalance that I have but I dragged my feet every day to get of bed and force myself to sweat. It wasn't easy. I did mostly light low impact workouts because those are the only ones I'm comfortable with. I am happy still that I still get to move. Next month is another chance!

On another note, I lost 4 kilos since I got here. It’s probably the not ordering take-outs every night.
I started a new haircare routine
We went to a dermatologist because I've been losing an alarming amount of hair, and I noticed some thinning spots on my forehead.
My dermatologist prescribed monoxidil, an anti-hair loss shampoo, and vitamins. I've been taking them for a week now. My hair has been dry because I shampoo it every day as instructed. I haven't noticed any significant changes yet, but I hope I will after 2 months. I'll surely let you know.
Final Thoughts
I'm feeling positive with March (as I always do!) I've enrolled another round of Spanish classes for level 5! I don't know why but I'm always excited to learn new things. I want to be more conversational before I go back.
My Argentinian friends and I are also planning to eat at a Filipino restaurant at Capital Federal! That's another thing to look forward too.
Here's to a great next month!
